| Sacraments - First Confession |
| The Sacrament of Reconciliation is normally celebrated sometime during Lent for children who are receiving it for the first time. |
| If a child attends a Catholic school, much of the preparation will take place in class and parents will be involved through the workbook which the child will bring home. |
| If a child does not attend a Catholic School, it is theresponsibility of the parents to ensure that he or she is prepared to a similar standard. The workbooks used in Catholic Schools are available to purchase at Pauline Multi-Media in Royal Exchange Square. |
| In the weeks immediately before the celebration of the Sacrament there are Parish Catechesis Sessions which the children are expected to attend. These sessions build upon the prepration mentioned above and do not substitute for it. |
When the date is set for First Confession each year, more information will appear below.

| First Confession 2009 |
| First Confession will be on Monday 16th March at 7.00 pm. Children must be enrolled with the parish for this Sacrament. Please download the enrolment form here and return it by hand, by post or by e-mail to the parish |
