The Parish Team
Monsignor Paul Murray was
ordained in 1988 and has served in Saint Mary Immaculate,
Pollokshaws and Saint Bartholomew's, Castlemilk before being
appointed Parish Priest of Saint Helen's in 2007. As well as his
parish duties, Monsignor Paul has responsibility in the Archdiocese
for Pastoral Planning and the formation of candidates for the
Permanent Diaconate. He is also the secretary of a group which
advises the bishops of the United Kingdom and Ireland on bioethical
matters.
Father Piotr Zielinski
was ordained 2002 in Archdiocese of Czestochowa in Poland. He had
served in Parzymiechy for four years before coming to Scotland to
diocese of Aberdeen where he worked for five years in St Peter's
and after that in St Mary's Cathedral serving Scottish and Polish
Catholics. In September he transferred to the Archdiocese of
Glasgow and was appointed as full time assisitant priest in Saint
Helen's.
Deacon Kevin Kelly
was among the first men ordained for service as Permanent Deacons
in Glasgow in June 2009. He is a Registered Mental Nurse and a
Registered General Nurse and currently works as an Epilepsy Nurse
Specialist within the Greater Glasgow and Clyde Health Board. After
his Ordination he pursued further Theological Studies and graduated
with a B.A. (Hons) in Applied Theology from the Maryvale Institute
in Birmingham
